Success is a byproduct of the practice

The blank page is the most beautiful thing, it's the area of life that can culminate in the end, a byproduct of years of work. It can also be the beautiful empty reality of a majestic snapshot of a moment in time that was stuck in someone's psyche, the very act of crystallising it releases repressed emotions held by its artist.

It can also become a tool for procrastination and fear, impending responsibility, and with limitless possibilities also comes limitless worries about not getting it right.

But the reality is, you don’t have to get it right. Your image doesn’t have to manifest itself, it can just be a tool to get to better.

Success is not a byproduct of perfect aim, success is a byproduct of the practice which over time hardens into a stilled resolve and steady aim. But you won't improve your aim if you don't take any shots.

The process that you are employing is what will lead you to the end result, yes. But you can’t sacrifice the journey and expect to arrive there.

If you focus on what is not there, what you want and don't have, and where you’re not, you won’t get there. Rest assured that if you increase the amount of bad takes you have, you will steadily improve your ability to distinguish between the mediocre, the merely good, and the truly great.
